Just Another Manic Monday

Today is the day I have dedicated to updating my website which means bringing new jewelry and another website design to the masses. Just Another Manic Monday

Happy Monday! It's the beginning of the work week for most and you're probably wondering where did the weekend go? While I was working in Corporate America I often thought how unfair it is to work five days and get only two days off.... it just didn't seem quite like an equal trade. Now as an entrepreneur I seem to work more hours and more days but I don't seem to mind because it is a labor of love. I realize if I want to be successful in what I am doing I will have to work for that goal. So to those who are off today for MLK Day you only have four days until it's your weekend... And to all my fellow entrepreneurs well what can I say, we just don't know the meaning of take it easy or take a day off but hey I can dream right?

Who Hoo! It's Fashion Show Time....

Excitement is in the air, the day I have worked hard for is finally here. January 12, 2011 kicks it off and we start with two very eclectic designers who are showing what fashion means to them. All of the designers participating in the Wish Upon A Rising Star Fashion Show have worked hard to get to this day. I know I have personally stayed awake long after most people were calling it a day! I had a vision in mind of what I wanted to see, what I wanted my models to wear, the jewelry pieces on each model and I had to scrap some ideas and start anew once or twice... BUT I am happy with the end result! I am a perfectionist and a bit of a control freak, {yeah that can be a good thing or a bad thing.... I guess it depends who you ask right?} I wanted to call a meeting with my daughter, who was the hair stylist and make-up artist, at some of the most in-opportune times {according to Jasmine anyway lol}, I worried that she would not be able to pull the looks together like I wanted but in the very end she really worked her magic. Thank you Ms. Jazz! It was a lot of hard work and some tense moments but in the grand scheme of things it was all worth it, especially when I see the pictures. I have a few projects in the works and I am so happy and excited for the next chapter to begin.

Been Away Too Long!

I've been away from you my friend Mr. Blogger for too long but it was all for good reasons.... When you are a solo-entrepreneur you have to wear many, many hats and sometimes blogging kind of gets lost in the shuffle. I have so many good things coming my way and I have to share some of it. White Haute Fashions will have a few pieces in a beautiful boutique in Brooklyn New York to start the new year off right... I am so excited! We are expanding to include women's evening wear, ie cocktail dresses, strappy shoes and some really gorgeous handbags. I am co-hosting an online fashion show with fellow up and coming designers (more info to come next week about the online fashion show... check back with us), the possibility of another fashion show in March in Jacksonville, Florida and the most important fashion show thus far in June. As I officially sign up with these fashion shows I will provide dates and times. WHF has new jewelry in stock and I will be debuting those gorgeous pieces next week, all in preparation for the new changes at White Haute Fashions.

I recently purchased some absolutely gorgeous cuff and hinge bracelets... oh they are to die for! I wasn't really sure about how they would sell so I didn't order very many, big mistake.
